Annual National HIV Testing Day Events are a Huge Success!

ACCEPT in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno, Greater Light Christian Center, and the Washoe County Health Department tested nearly 100 youth and adults over the weekend of June 26th. Below is a media clip announcing Sunday's events from June 27th. Know Status, Know Power. No Status, No Power! Get Tested!

Northern Nevada Town Hall Meeting- A Great Success!

ACCEPT held their Annual Northern Nevada Town Hall Meeting on March 29th, 2010.

When people hear the phrase “underage drinking,” they often think of teenagers using alcohol. Nearly one out of every seven 10th graders and about two out of every seven 12th graders reported being drunk at least once in the last month.

The purpose of the Town Hall Meeting was to increase community awareness on the issue of underage drinking, identify how underage drinking affects the community, and brainstorm possible solutions. Parents, teachers, local officials, youth, and other community members came together to voice their concerns and suggest ideas for preventing young people from using alcohol.
